Sorry I've been so absent for the past month or so. There are some big changes happening around the Rasmussen household which have taken a lot of time.
First up: We got a house! Finally! After looking at over 60 houses and putting bids on 6 or so, we finally got one! And we love it! We are scheduled to close by the end of next week and we'll hopefully move in next Saturday. Here's what it looks like:
The second big change for us... Take a look:
Yep, that is a plus sign! We're having a baby! Here's what the cute little thing looked like at an ultrasound at around 13 weeks.
And here's what I'm looking like at 14 1/2 weeks. You can't see much, but believe me, I can feel it! I can't button up my pants without it being very uncomfortable. Time to purchase maternity pants? No way! I'm gonna hold out!
I was feeling pretty sick during the first trimester. I lost about 8.5 lbs even though I never threw up. I just couldn't really eat a whole lot. But I'm generally feeling much better now.
Current cravings: snow cones and root beer.
So I hope you'll excuse my absence. We're very excited for all of these big changes in our life!

Congrats on both! Owning your own house is amazing, but being a mother is even more amazing!! You'll be a great mom and Kraig will be a great dad too. Lucky little baby to be getting two great parents. Congrats again...and don't hold out on the maternity pants too long. I remember the first time I put some on and thought, "Wow I should have been wearing these weeks ago." It felt so much better to not have to squeeze into my jeans any longer. Well, congrats again and I miss working with you too!!
I love your house! And what is it about our book club and producing hot pregnant women? Both you and Natalie look fabulous. Can't wait to see what your little munchkins look like.
